Last week, when I was doing therapy for this particular girl who has turned to be thirteen this year, she requested this song from the movie 'Cinderella'. She is a little girly who often fights with me when she doesn't get her preferred activities during therapy. Sometimes, she talks with me about her wishes and dreams.
I often think how many dreams they have and how many of them, they would achieve. Having a Learning Disability is not an obstacle preventing them to achieve their dreams and wishes. Let's help them by making this world a better place for every one including these people with different abilities.
Lyrics from "Cinderella"
Music and Lyrics by Al Hoffman, Mack David, and Jerry Livingston
A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
